Linnea Mellander

Linnea Mellander is a recent graduate of Media Management at the New School. Linnea arrived in New York 2 years ago to delve deeper into new forms of media and to explore the ways in which media can be used for social good.

Together with André Paz, Ella Colley and more, Linnea was lucky to be part of the web documentary Ilha Grande: Cada cada praia, uma ilha; cada ilha, uma história production.

The documentary explores community-based tourism on the island of Ilha Grande, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Since her return to New York she is working with Video and Photo Documentation at NEW INC, an incubator space for entrepreneurs working in the technology, media, and art world. As a traveling Swede, Linnea has lived in London, Montreal, and Brazil and picked up conversational French.
