Alex Gilkison
Alex is Pro Vice-Chancellor and Executive Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Creative Industries and Education. Prior to undertaking this role Alex was Chair of Screen Academy Scotland in Edinburgh, and Head of Edinburgh Napier University’s School of Arts and Creative Industries. He represents the University on Bristol’s screen related Boards.
Alex’s key interests are in talent development across a range of media and cultural industries, including film and broadcasting, music and drama.
Alex’s practice background is in journalism and fiction writing. His academic interests mainly sit around Psychoanalysis and its application to film and literary theory.
