Brenda Longfellow
Brenda Longfellow is an award winning documentary filmmaker whose work has have screened and broadcast internationally, winning prestigious awards, including the Grand Prize at Oberhausen and a Canadian Genie.
Brenda teaches in the Department of Cinema and Media Arts at York University and has published extensively on documentary, feminist film theory and Canadian cinema. She is a co-editor of “The Perils of Pedagogy: the Committed Works of John Greyson” (2013) and “Gendering the Nation: Canadian Women Filmmakers” (1992).
Her interactive web documentary OFFSHORE (co-directed with Helios Design Lab and Glen Richards) was featured at the I-Docs conference in 2013.
