Jana Bolotin
Jana Bolotin is a filmmaker and media artist. Born in Moscow and raised in Jerusalem and Chicago, Jana explores themes of displacement and immigration through digital video, animation, and interactive platforms. Her short autobiographical film “Alo! 86th Street” has screened in film festivals including Seattle’s Northwest Film Forum. She is currently researching topics in medical anthropology and exploring representations of illness. “The Invisible Fury” is Jana’s first interactive documentary.
Professionally, Jana has worked in nonfiction television for A&E and the Biography Channel. She holds an MFA in Digital Arts + New Media from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
